Abstract: The study of asymptotic behaviour of C₀-semigroups on dense subsets, e.g. on the domain D(A), where A is the generator of C₀-semigroup, is an important second step in asymptotic theory of C₀-semigroups on Banach spaces and is quite new area of research. We will consider question of decay of C₀-semigroup on D(A), and more general question on (the speed of) relative growth of unbounded semigroup on dense subsets of the phase space. Also we give answers on the latter question for the special class of linearly growing C₀-groups, whose generators are essentially nonselfadjoint unbounded operators, i.e. they are not similar to any selfadjoint operator.
